THE STORY BEHIND

Jonathan Vervoort explores hope as a longing for another place, time, or state of being. In Echo of Water/Memory, he uses water as a metaphor for change and renewal. By removing water from its natural context, the sculpture becomes a reflection on hope as a fluid force—something that connects, shifts, and opens paths toward the future.
